Parochial Administrator’s Message
Fr. Francis Sohe, SDV Pastor
Dear Friends in Christ,
When I first arrived on Prince Edward Island, I was deeply moved by the warmth and generosity of this community. You welcomed me not only as a priest but as a brother in faith, and for that I am truly grateful. Your kindness has made me feel at home, and I count it a blessing to serve among you.
Over these months, we have walked together through many experiences: celebrating the sacraments, mourning the loss of loved ones, and supporting one another in faith. We have discovered that, even in our differences of background and culture, the Gospel binds us together as one family in Christ.
As a parish, we face real challenges — our buildings require care, our structures are changing, and we must find fresh ways to engage our young people and strengthen parish life. Yet, I do not see discouragement. Rather, I see hope, resilience, and a people who love their Church deeply. We are being called by the Holy Spirit to renewal, to deeper faith, and to greater unity in living the Gospel.
It is my prayer that this parish website will be more than a source of information. May it serve as a place of encounter: where newcomers find welcome, the searching find hope, and the faithful find encouragement to live as disciples of Jesus.
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your witness of faith. We are on this journey together, and with God’s grace, we will continue to grow as a strong, joyful, and welcoming parish family.
With gratitude in Christ,
Fr. Francis Sohe, SDV
Associate Pastor Message
It is of no doubt that the website will be of a great importance to the church especially in spreading the good news of God and in carrying everyone along.
This is a welcoming development.
May God bless and keep all of us in one faith and love.
Yours in Christ,
Fr. Benedict Olelewe, SDV
